Boston police report 2 dead after fatal overnight shootings in Dorchester

Two men are dead after separate shootings took place overnight in Dorchester, according to Boston police. 
Authorities said the first shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday on Erie Street. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. 
Another man was fatally shot around 2:07 a.m. Sunday at Conrad and Sumner streets, police said. He was also transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. 
The victims have not yet been identified. 
While the shooting scenes are about a mile and a half apart, Boston police said they are currently investigating the incidents as two separate homicides. 
No further information has been released and no arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon.
